March 18. Notes

Today we did unit 2 in the book, and the Breaking News article "Internet Access" (level 3)

We had a short chat with partner in Korean about "What is “Public Administration”? (행정)"
-- We will return to this question in the future, in English.
Your opinion about this will shape your attitude about your work.

You are responsible to know the vocabulary we talk about in class - from the readings, and from my talk (on the whiteboard)

 On Tuesday, June 24th, we will have Midterm Examinations. The exam is in two parts. The first hour of the day will be review and Questions time. The second hour will be a paper test. Summer Travels

So you've had a few weeks away (from me) and you are preparing for your summer excursion . (do you know this word? there are definitions below) Have you prepared your itinerary ?  Have you prepared your personal budget and specific objectives beyond the itinerary? Any souvenirs or gifts you wish to purchase? Any other expenses planned? If you have any free time outside the official itinerary, what do you hope to do? If you plan to travel using local transit, do you know how? If you plan to drive, do you know all the requirements and "rules of the road"? Is your passport and international credit card ready?
